The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the NHL game between the Vancouver Canucks and San Jose Sharks at Rogers Arena, accompanied by Markus Anderson, an old friend who holds importance in their romantic journey.

Meghan, visibly excited, passionately cheered for her favorite team, joined by Markus Anderson seated beside her. The two enthusiastically celebrated when their home team scored a goal. Meghan has previously referred to Anderson as one of her "closest friends in the world."

Reportedly the Chief Membership Officer of Soho House, a global private members' club, Anderson played a pivotal role in Harry and Meghan's early interactions. The couple had their first date at Soho House's London location in July 2016.

In Harry's memoir, "Spare," he mentions connecting with Meghan on Instagram after seeing her photo of her with a mutual friend named Violet. The Daily Mail reported that Anderson "arranged for the couple to meet secretly in private rooms" at Soho House in Toronto and London.

Anderson and Meghan were part of the same social circle for years, and he often appeared on Meghan's now-deleted Instagram, which was taken down before her royal wedding in May 2018.
