Meghan Markle's Discontent as Azagury CEO Denies Gratis Access to 5 of Diana's Iconic Dresses

Meghan Markle's Discontent as Azagury CEO Denies Gratis Access to 5 of Diana's Iconic Dresses

"Absolutely not!" exclaimed Meghan, her frustration evident, when the CEO of Azura turned down her request for five of Princess Diana's iconic dresses without charge. Reports suggested that Meghan had urged Harry to persuade a private collector in Los Angeles to grant her access to these legendary dresses, some of which bore a striking resemblance to designs by Jan Zachary for Diana in her later years.

Motivated by retirement, the private collector had decided to part with five of these exquisite formal dresses about five weeks ago for an undisclosed sum. The collector's intention was for admirers to continue cherishing these iconic outfits, maintaining the integrity of the entire collection.

This assortment included dresses closely resembling those worn by Princess Diana in her later years, with the famed black halter neck dress from the controversial Panorama interview gala in 1995 being a notable highlight.

Princess Diana, renowned for her impeccable fashion sense, attended to every detail from her heels to her jewelry. A memorable occasion was her presence at a Royal Albert Hall performance of Swan Lake in June 1997, donning a light blue knee-high dress adorned with small crystal beads—an iconic piece within the collection.

Interestingly, Meghan Markle had expressed interest in acquiring these dresses and was rumored to have pressured Harry to obtain five of these luxury evening gowns. While Meghan often draws inspiration from Princess Diana's fashion, eyebrows were raised when she allegedly sought these dresses for free from a private collector in Los Angeles. She claimed Harry had convinced the collector to pass them on as a tribute to Princess Diana, Harry's deceased mother.

However, this move faced criticism, with accusations that Meghan was leveraging Diana's fame and Harry's emotional connection to his mother to acquire the dresses without cost. Some believed Meghan and Harry pursued the dresses as gifts due to financial constraints.

It's crucial to note that these dresses were replicas, and Princess Diana had not worn the originals, so there was no direct connection to her. Nevertheless, collectors and admirers continued to treasure them, appreciating Meghan's attraction to their Diana-inspired fashion choices.

In other news, Prince Harry opted not to view the tiara associated with Princess Diana's death in the final season of the popular Netflix series depicting Diana's last days. Given the sensitive nature of the content, Prince Harry understandably chose not to watch the season, acknowledging the pain he endured following his mother's death and its impact on his mental health.

Royal watchers speculated on the Sussexes' involvement in the series amid their multi-million-dollar Netflix settlement. However, sources clarified that the Sussexes were not consulted by anyone involved in the series or Netflix regarding storylines or previous episodes for approval or discussion. Prince William also emphasized their detachment from "The Crown," stating he would not be watching the show.
