Royal expert Kara Kennedy shared insights with the Daily Express, expressing that despite Harry and Meghan's efforts to safeguard their children's future as working royals, their actions may have had the opposite effect.
The expert emphasized that if Archie and Lilibet chose to pursue roles as working royals in the future, they might face significant challenges. Growing up in California, far from the traditions of the Royal Family, could potentially leave them feeling disconnected. Kennedy remarked, "If they ever wanted to be involved on a day-to-day basis, they wouldn't know where to start."
In contrast, Prince William and Kate Middleton's children have already participated in various royal engagements, including King Charles' coronation.
Despite the challenges, Kennedy pointed out that there is hope if Archie and Lilibet form close relationships with their cousins. "It's entirely possible that the children could want to come back to the bones of the family," she said. "They will be close-ish in age to the Wales children and the children of Beatrice and Eugenie. It's only natural for Archie and Lilibet to want to be in the action and not feel left out, regardless of their parents' wishes."
