Prince Harry reportedly failed to carve out time for a special birthday call to King Charles on his 75th milestone.

Prince Harry reportedly failed to carve out time for a special birthday call to King Charles on his 75th milestone.

The monarch's silver jubilee on Tuesday, Nov. 14, unfolded with a packed agenda, featuring two royal engagements and a private celebration at Clarence House with close friends and family. Despite the absence of the Sussexes from the guest list, it was understood that they reached out to the King from overseas.

However, according to a source cited by the Daily Express, the news of the phone call caught them off guard. The source revealed, "News of a phone call came as a surprise. Let’s just say that. There might have been a willingness there for the Sussexes to call the King on his birthday, but it certainly wasn’t communicated to the other side in a timely fashion."

Highlighting the constraints in Charles' schedule, the insider noted, "The King certainly didn’t take the call during the day while he was busy working. The evening was spent with his family and friends, and he didn’t have a private moment all evening."

Another source disclosed that the author of "Spare" did attempt to make the call, but the estranged King reportedly "waved the phone away" each time it rang, expressing a reluctance to hear from Harry until he apologizes.
