The latest social media post from Prince William and Kate Middleton, celebrating King Charles' 75th Birthday with heartwarming family photos, has sparked fresh backlash from fans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The Instagram account of The Prince and Princess of Wales has shared a nostalgic vacation snapshot featuring William and King Charles, alongside a recent family photograph with a special birthday tribute to the monarch. However, this seemingly innocent post has apparently upset some of their followers.
The initial photo captures Charles and William with arms around each other during a 2004 ski vacation in Switzerland. Notably absent from the picture is Prince Harry, suggesting his non-participation in the trip.
Expressing their displeasure, some fans criticized Kate and William for "excluding Harry." One commenter in the section wrote, "It's disheartening to leave out Harry! What's wrong with these people!"
Another reacted with disbelief, asking, "Did Harry never exist?"
A different sentiment was expressed with a simple lament, "No photo with Harry... too bad," echoed by another disappointed follower.
Despite the criticism, some royal enthusiasts and admirers of Kate and William attempted to provide perspective to the disgruntled followers. One supporter questioned, "Why should the official Instagram page of William & Kate include a picture of the 'man child' and 'man eater' when their post is simply extending birthday wishes to the King from Will, Kate & their kids?"
Another added, "This is Prince William conveying birthday wishes to his father. Prince Harry is welcome to do the same with a photo featuring just him and the King."
Meanwhile, one commenter lightened the mood, humorously predicting, "As I can already tell, that first picture is going to be the start of Harry's next book/podcast/Netflix limited series."
