The Prince of Wales was eagerly anticipating watching Taylor Swift's live performance at his father King Charles' significant event. However, the absence of the "Anti-Hero" hitmaker at Windsor Castle on May 7th took away some of William's excitement, according to insiders.
Despite a lineup featuring Katy Perry, Gary Barlow, Paloma Faith, and Lionel Richie to celebrate King Charles and Queen Camilla's event with their music, Taylor Swift did not take the stage.
In Omid Scobie's book, "Endgame," allegations have surfaced that Taylor was invited but did not accept. The confirmation of her invitation remains unverified by the palace or Taylor.
During the concert, she was in the midst of her US Eras tour, with performances scheduled in Nashville on May 6th and Philadelphia on May 12th, as announced in November 2022, according to Variety.
Even though the show remained spectacular without Taylor Swift, insiders suggest that Prince William felt some disappointment, given his admiration for the singer. The future King has previously sung alongside her and, during the recent 2023 Tusk Conservation Awards in London, expressed his continued fandom, stating he would have liked Taylor Swift to be there if possible.
