In reaction to Omid Scobie's claims in his upcoming book "Endgame," where
he asserts that Prince Charles prioritized loyalty to the monarchy over Prince
Harry, a friend of Prince William has strongly refuted the allegations.
Scobie, often associated with Meghan Markle as her 'mouthpiece,' has faced
criticism for making explosive claims about the royal family, particularly
regarding Prince William. The friend of Prince William defended him against
what they deemed "outrageous" and "fabricated" stories peddled by Scobie.
Expressing frustration, the friend stated, "It's one thing writing a critique
of the Royal Family. That's freedom of expression. But it's another thing to
peddle conspiracy theories dressed up as fact."
The friend further emphasized that the suggestion of royal aides briefing negative stories about Harry and Meghan was entirely false. They shared insights into the cautious approach taken by everyone within the royal circle, stating, "The truth is that everyone was walking on eggshells practically from the engagement trying to keep them happy."
Echoing the sentiment, another friend of Prince William expressed frustration with the author's portrayal of the royal, highlighting Prince William's commitment to maintaining privacy, given the complexities of his childhood experiences.
Scobie's book is scheduled for release on November 27.
