Amidst the legal battle over security, Prince Harry's ties with the UK are under scrutiny

The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, is currently challenging the UK government's decision to reduce his security measures.

Even if he triumphs in this legal bout, a royal expert suggests that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may keep their distance from the UK. According to Richard Fitzwilliams, a royal commentator, winning the case might not be a ticket back to the UK for the Duke of Sussex.

Fitzwilliams shared his insights with Express, highlighting that, despite challenging the British government's reduction of his security privileges, Prince Harry might not return to his homeland.

"During their time as senior working royals, Harry and his family enjoyed full police protection, which they lost upon stepping down," the expert explained.

Prince Harry's claim revolves around officials allegedly neglecting the security threat and the potential national impact if he were to become a victim.

"If he secures a victory, it would affirm his belief in facing 'unlawful and unfair treatment' and reinforce his sense of discrimination against him and his family."

"However, a loss would undoubtedly leave him bitter. His previous offer to cover security costs was rejected in the High Court in May, making it unlikely for this proposal to be accepted."

Fitzwilliams emphasized that regardless of the court's decision, Prince Harry's resentment for the treatment he received after leaving the royal family is unlikely to diminish.

"With no foothold in Britain following their eviction from Frogmore, the Sussexes, particularly after the release of 'Spare' earlier in the year and the ongoing issues with Omid Scobie and Endgame, are poised to remain significantly distanced from the rest of the Royal Family."
