Bryan Adams Reflects on Cherished Friendship with the Late Princess Diana

In a recent interview, Bryan Adams fondly recalled the special moments he shared with the late Princess Diana, highlighting the unique bond they forged.

The musician spoke about his initial meeting with the People's Princess, expressing his deep admiration for her as a significant source of inspiration. During a conversation with The Sunday Times, Bryan revealed that their first encounter took place aboard an airplane.

This meeting followed Adams' co-writing and release of a song titled "Diana" in 1981, commemorating her royal wedding to Prince Charles. When he mentioned using her name in a song, Diana responded with humor, saying, "Yes, I know, very funny. Actually, I’d like to hear it again."

Bryan continued, recounting how he sent a copy of the song to Kensington Palace, leading to an invitation for tea and ultimately establishing their friendship.

Describing his interactions with Diana, the songwriter expressed, "I really, really liked Diana; she was an amazing woman and a super-great inspiration." Bryan admitted that meeting the late princess was one of the most profound experiences of his life.

Tragically, Princess Diana met her untimely end in a fatal car accident in Paris in 1997, leaving the world mourning the loss of the queen of hearts.
