Buckingham Palace Unveils Royal Family's Christmas Celebration Plans

Buckingham Palace has disclosed the Christmas plans for King Charles, Queen Camilla, and the entire royal family. On Christmas Day, King Charles and Queen Camilla will attend the morning service at Sandringham Church, accompanied by other royal family members. This marks a return to the annual tradition, with the last similar gathering taking place in 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Traditionally, the royal family exchanges gifts on Christmas Eve, with a penchant for silly presents rather than extravagant ones. On Christmas Day, a traditional festive lunch is anticipated at Sandringham House, featuring roast turkey, potatoes, stuffing, cranberry, bread sauces, and Christmas pudding.

The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are expected to attend. Notably, Queen Camilla has reportedly extended invitations to her children and grandchildren for the lunch, a departure from previous years.

After the festive lunch, the family gathers to watch the monarch's annual televised address at 3 p.m. in the U.K. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, are not anticipated to travel to the UK for Christmas. Instead, they plan to celebrate the event with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, at their Montecito mansion.
