The depiction of Carole Middleton in the latest season of the hit Netflix series "The Crown" has ignited strong reactions, with many finding it appalling.

According to a recent Mail podcast, the show portrays Carole Middleton in a negative light, depicting her as a scheming meddler determined to guide her daughter Kate towards a future with Prince William during their university years.

In the podcast, journalist Rebecca English, royal biographer Robert Hardman, and expert Natasha Livingstone debunked details invented by the program. The royal experts felt that the portrayal of the mother-of-three was unfair and speculative, with Hardman describing it as the "most speculative and entirely fictitious episode" of the series.

Hardman expressed his concerns, stating that the depiction showed Mrs. Middleton, played by Eve Best, as having entirely orchestrated the relationship between the future Prince and Princess of Wales, a narrative that he found implausible.

"I think that's incredibly unfair. These are the kind of charges that are wounding, and I just hope Carole Middleton doesn't have to sit and watch this," he added.

The controversial episode in the sixth series begins with a fictional meeting between a young Kate and her mother with William and Princess Diana in 1996. The final installment delves into the blossoming romance between Kate and Prince William, suggesting that Carole Middleton allegedly pushed her daughter to pursue a future with the eventual King.
