Meghan Markle's recent solo public appearances and her strategic approach
to brand renaissance are anticipated to yield positive results, according to
royal expert Richard Kay. Speaking on True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat, Kay
noted Meghan's recent individual engagements and Prince Harry's solo ventures,
suggesting a deliberate effort to give each of them space to showcase their
individuality.
Meghan's appearances at events like Variety's Power of Women gala and her
involvement in a commercial for Clevr Blends have generated significant
attention. Meanwhile, Prince Harry has taken the spotlight with solo
interviews promoting his memoir "Spare."
According to Kay, there is a strategic decision to keep Meghan at a distance from some of Harry's projects, possibly to protect her brand. He stated, "There was a view, I think by her handlers, that her own brand could be damaged if she was seen to be very close to Harry, so she didn’t go on any of the promotional tours for the book, join him for any of the interviews."
Kay expressed that Meghan seems actively looking for a relevant role, and this strategy might bear fruit in the coming year. However, he also emphasized the need for the Sussexes to actively work towards healing the growing rift with the Royal Family, suggesting room for significant change if they choose to pursue it.
