Amidst the controversy surrounding Meghan Markle's alleged involvement in
the "royal race row" reignited by Omid Scobie's book "Endgame," Hollywood seems
poised to quickly overlook the issue, according to a royal expert.
As the Duchess of Sussex faces scrutiny over past comments and her name being
linked to the controversy, she has turned to a Hollywood career to salvage the
brand of Sussex. The recent chaos was triggered when two senior royals were
"accidentally" named in the Dutch translation of Scobie's book.
Meghan's talent team at William Morris Endeavor (WME) reportedly expressed
concern about the ongoing scandal, fearing it could impact Harry and Meghan's
future plans. However, PR expert Andy Barr believes that Hollywood still views
Meghan as a significant draw.
"Meghan is still a massive draw in Hollywood. Tinsel Town is able to separate her Royal ties and associated baggage from her impressive acting ability," stated Barr. He emphasized that Hollywood prioritizes the potential for a celebrity to bring in audiences and box office numbers, often overlooking past issues.
As the expert noted, "As Hollywood has shown time and time again, any past issues or misdemeanours are quickly forgotten if that celebrity can bring a ticket-paying audience to the big screens."
