In a recent appearance at Variety’s Power of Women event, the Duchess of Sussex shared insights into their holiday plans, emphasizing the creation of new traditions as their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, grow up.
Sources suggest that the Sussexes have limited options, feeling somewhat forgotten, especially as King Charles and the rest of the family prepare for an elaborate Christmas celebration at Sandringham.
“They are expected to just spend the holidays with [Meghan’s] mom,” an insider mentioned. “Their circle has become very small since they moved to California in 2020.”
The source continued, “Meghan doesn’t hang out with a lot of her friends anymore and has fallen out with a few of them. They have many celebrity acquaintances who live nearby, but not tons of close, and Harry has not made many new friends.”
This situation follows reports suggesting that the couple was hoping for an invitation to spend Christmas with the Royal Family. However, the tactful snub indicates that the invites had already been sent out by the 75-year-old monarch.
