Kate Middleton Counters Omid Scobie's Criticism with Increased Royal Engagements

Kate Middleton has defied Omid Scobie's critical remarks through her actions, notably increasing her royal workload in 2023.

Royal author Omid Scobie faced a fitting response from Prince William's wife, contradicting his comments branding her as one of the laziest members of the royal family.

Contrary to Scobie's assertions, Kate Middleton's number of royal engagements has risen by two percent this year, from 90 in 2022 to 92 in 2023, according to data from digital PR agency Reboot.

This increase places the Princess of Wales in third place on the list of royals with the most significant engagement growth, with the Duke of Gloucester ranking first and King Charles in second. The Duke's engagements rose by 12 percent from 100 in 2022 to 113 in 2023, while the King's increased by eight percent from 181 to 197.

Although Princess Anne retained her title as the hardest-working royal, with 212 official engagements, her numbers decreased by one percent from 214 in 2022. Kate's proactive approach in 2023 is notable, especially when compared to her husband, Prince William, who had 16 fewer engagements this year, dropping from 126 to 110.

In response to Omid Scobie's claims in "Endgame" that Kate felt "well out of her comfort zone" in her royal duties, particularly at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2019, Kate's actions contradict his narrative. Scobie suggested that palace aides were cautious not to push Kate too hard, attributing it to her role in producing heirs and spares and William's protectiveness.

However, Kate's increased engagement numbers speak louder than Scobie's words, reflecting her commitment to fulfilling her royal duties without creating controversy or seeking unnecessary attention.
