King Charles Firm on Decision Regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Titles

King Charles finds himself amidst controversy as he is labeled one of the 'racist royals' in Omid Scobie's book, 'Endgame.'

Despite possible animosity towards his son, Prince Harry, and daughter-in-law, Meghan Markle, King Charles is reluctant to take a step that would deeply upset him.

Calls, led by Conservative MP Bob Seely, advocating for the removal of the Sussexes' titles in the wake of resurfaced race-related issues, may not find favor with the king.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond suggests that Charles is not inclined to "deepen the rift and the hurt." She notes, "I don’t think King Charles would be happy about any overt move to strip Harry and Meghan of titles. He is not vindictive, and this would be seen as that."

Omid Scobie's latest book, 'Endgame,' adds fuel to the ongoing royal rift, highlighting tensions between father and son. However, recent thawing in relations was evident after a warm phone call shared on the monarch’s 75th birthday.

A misprint in the Dutch version of Scobie's book erroneously linked the names of alleged "racist royals" to King Charles and Kate Middleton. While the royals have not officially commented on the matter, it seems that the relationship between the royal family and the Sussexes has regressed.

The echoes of shockwaves sent by Meghan Markle's 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, where she revealed concerns about Prince Archie's complexion, still reverberate within the royal family. Despite the challenges, King Charles appears hesitant to take actions that might exacerbate tensions within the family.
