In a bid to address the ongoing royal rift, Meghan Markle has reportedly proposed a 'part-time solution.' The Duchess of Sussex has suggested to Prince Harry that they consider relocating to the UK, but with a significant portion of their year spent in the US.
According to a source from The Mirror, Meghan envisions spending eight months in California and the remaining time renting an apartment at Kensington Palace. The proposed move is seen as a potential solution to the financial challenges the couple is currently facing.
However, if Harry and Meghan were to make the move, King Charles has a stringent condition: they must agree not to speak negatively about the royals again. An insider revealed to Life & Style, "Meghan and Harry have to agree not to speak ill of the royals again.
That’s a must. It would be an utter embarrassment if they were to be kicked out of the family for a second time."
While the relationship between the King and his younger son was reportedly improving, royal author Omid Scobie's book allegedly set them back to square one. Despite the tensions, there is reluctance on the part of King Charles to strip the couple of their titles.
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond commented, "I don’t think King Charles would be happy about any overt move to strip Harry and Meghan of titles," emphasizing the monarch's desire to avoid deepening the existing rift and hurt within the family.
