Rebecca English, the Royal editor of the Daily Mail, referenced The Daily Telegraph to report that the Duchess of Sussex insists she "never intended the [names] to be publicly identified."
Re the royal race row story, The Daily Telegraph reports tonight that sources close to the Duchess of Sussex insist she had ‘never intended them to be publicly identified’ and that the letter ‘was not leaked to Mr Scobie by anyone in her camp’.

A senior Palace source, as reported by The Sun, suggested that the former actress may have leaked the names in an act of revenge against the Royal Family.
Journalist Piers Morgan claimed that the "two names in the Dutch edition match the names of the alleged 'racists' cited in the Meghan/Charles letter exchange post-Oprah [Winfrey interview]," adding that Scobie could only have obtained this information from Meghan or her associates.
However, Meghan's source countered that the letter "was not leaked to Mr. Scobie by anyone in [Meghan's] camp," according to English.
