'Meghan Markle's 'Mouthpiece' Omid Scobie Contemplates Career Change After Endgame Backlash'

Omid Scobie, the royal author and journalist often referred to as Meghan Markle's "mouthpiece," is hinting at a potential career change following the controversy surrounding his recently released book, Endgame. In a recent interview with the New York Times, Scobie shared insights into his future plans, indicating a shift toward his lifelong passion for storytelling.

"My passion has always been in storytelling, whether that is through writing or podcasts or TV or documentary," Scobie remarked when asked about his next steps.

The journalist, who co-authored "Finding Freedom" in 2020, faced criticism after the Dutch version of Endgame inadvertently revealed the names of senior royals allegedly expressing concerns about the skin tone of Harry and Meghan's son, Archie. The Dutch version was initially pulled from stores due to reported mistranslations but has since been corrected and placed back on sale.

Amid the ongoing feud between the royal family and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Scobie offered crucial advice to Meghan Markle in a Newsweek interview. He urged her to be authentic and honest with her readers if she intends to write her own book, drawing from his own experiences in writing a memoir.
