Former royal butler Grant Harrold has advised Prince Harry and Meghan
Markle not to decline a possible royal Christmas invitation from King Charles.
Harrold believes that declining the invitation would be a "big statement" and
may not look good for the couple. He emphasized the importance of Christmas
celebrations within the royal family, noting that it's a time for family to be
together and support one another.
Harrold expressed the hope that Harry and Meghan would be part of the Christmas celebrations, considering the tradition followed by the late Queen Elizabeth, who was a "huge advocate" for family gatherings during the festive season. He suggested that if the couple is not invited, it might not reflect well on King Charles.
Additionally, Harrold highlighted the Christmas celebration as an opportunity for Harry and Meghan to mend their rift with senior members of the royal family. He mentioned, "If they decide not to go, that’s on them. But it would be a bad thing either way. It’s a big statement to make."
