As reported by Mirror, Prince Archie's godfather, Hugo Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, has left Harry and Meghan off the guest list for his upcoming posh wedding. The decision, aimed at avoiding a potential clash within the House of Windsor, comes as King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton are expected to attend the ceremony.
The alleged revelation by Omid Scobie of two royal figures engaging in unethical conversations about Archie's skin color has further strained the possibility of a Christmas reunion between Harry, Meghan, and the royal family.
A close friend of both Harry and William expressed sadness over the widening rift between the two brothers. In a statement to the publication, he conveyed, "It's incredibly sad it has come to this. Hugh is one of the very few close friends of William and Harry’s who has maintained strong bonds and a line of communication with both."
He continued, acknowledging the difficulty of reconciliation before the wedding, saying, "He wishes they could put their heads together and patch things up, but realizes it’s unlikely to happen before the wedding."
The Duke of Westminster, set to marry Olivia Henson in June 2024, has prioritized avoiding any potential disruptions during the ceremony. He is keen on ensuring a seamless and joyous wedding day, free from the overshadowing of familial tensions.
