A source told In Touch that the couple feels the need to respond, especially considering The Hollywood Reporter's perceived credibility in the industry. The source stated, "Getting roasted and portrayed as a laughing stock on South Park cut deep."
The couple also faced financial setbacks following the release of their donation report for 2021-2022, which showed a significant drop of over $10 million compared to the previous year.
However, the source claims that Harry and Meghan are "adamant" about the figures being misinterpreted and have no plans to let the criticisms prevail. They are reportedly gearing up to release a new project as a response to the recent criticisms.
