Prince Harry and Meghan Markle find themselves in a precarious situation
as their brand approaches a potentially decisive moment in 2024, labeled a "make
or break" year after a series of challenging events.
Despite concerted efforts to enhance their brand, the Duke and Duchess of
Sussex seem to be experiencing a backlash. A crisis manager has raised
concerns, suggesting that the coming year could be the "undoing" of Harry and
Meghan's brand if they fail to chart a new and positive course.
Mark Borkowski, an expert in crisis management, expressed his view to
MailOnline, stating, "Something is beginning to unwind at the heart of Meghan
and Harry. I think 2024 is going to be seismic, either because they're going
to do something to recover and find a new positive tactic or it's going to be
the undoing of the brand." He emphasized that their current approach is
"clearly not working."
The couple has faced criticism from Americans who perceive them as attempting to emulate the US Royal Family. This scrutiny intensified after the release of a video promoting their Archewell Foundation, which has struggled to gather donations over the past year. Reports of a significant drop in funding compared to the foundation's launch further contributed to the negative reception.
As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle navigate these challenges, the critical year ahead could redefine their brand trajectory and determine its long-term viability.
