Prince Harry Discloses His UK Plans Amid 'Endgame' and Security Dispute

Prince Harry, currently residing in Montecito with wife Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, has hinted at a potential return to the UK with his family.

The 39-year-old Prince has unveiled his plan to revisit the UK amid the ongoing security battle with the Home Office.

As the youngest son of King Charles III, he has also clarified the reasons behind his departure from the British royal family in early 2020, asserting that he felt 'forced' to leave the UK.

In his witness statement, excerpted during the last day of the hearing in his case against the British government at the High Court in London, the Duke of Sussex expressed, "The UK is my home, central to the heritage of my children, and a place I want them to feel at home."

These words not only eloquently convey his sentiments about his homeland and its people but also imply a desire to return to Britain with his loved ones.

However, Harry emphasized that he cannot fulfill this dream until adequate security is provided. His UK taxpayer-funded protection was withdrawn after his relocation to the US following his departure from the royal family.

Harry's lawyer, Shaheed Fatima, informed the court that the Duke did not accept that he chose to cease being a "full-time working member of the royal family."

Reading Harry's written statement, Fatima stated: "It was with great sadness for both of us that my wife and I felt forced to step back from this role and leave the country in 2020. The UK is my home. The UK is central to the heritage of my children and a place I want them to feel at home as much as where they live at the moment in the US."

The statement added: "That cannot happen if it's not possible to keep them safe when they are on UK soil. I cannot put my wife in danger like that, and, given my experiences in life, I am reluctant to unnecessarily put myself in harm's way too."

Harry's legal team argues that changing his security arrangements following his departure was "unlawful and unfair" given his royal status and the tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana.
