The actor disclosed the rift with Prince Harry, indicating that their differences became apparent towards the end of the drama series' sixth season, where West portrays the character of King Charles, the father of the Duke of Sussex.
During an interview on Times Radio alongside co-star Jonathan Pryce, who plays Prince Philip, West shared insights into how Meghan Markle's husband perceived his father's life depicted on the small screen.
West subtly hinted that the breaking point in their relationship occurred when he "said too much" during a press conference, resulting in a complete breakdown of communication between him and Prince Harry.
"No, we sort of no… I said too much in a press conference, so we didn’t speak after that," he revealed. Reflecting on a question about their celebration, West acknowledged that he might have divulged more information than necessary, leading to the silence between them.
