and Lilibet, upon returning to the UK seems to have fallen on deaf ears,
particularly with his father, King Charles. Following the explosive claims made
by royal author Omid Scobie, Harry asserted that security issues had "forced"
his family to leave the UK.
In court documents, Harry expressed his desire for the UK to be a home for his
children, stating, "That cannot happen if there is no possibility to keep them
safe when they are on UK soil." However, a source close to The Sun revealed
that King Charles remains unmoved, stating, "The King has said that [he] will
not be emotionally blackmailed by his own son. He is not concerned by the book
and remains full of energy."
The controversy surrounding the alleged 'racist royals,' named in the Dutch version of Scobie's book, has added strain to Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship with the royal family. The couple has faced criticism for their silence on the issue, particularly after Meghan's revelations of ill-treatment during her interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021.
