Royal expert Jennie Bond suggests that the Duke of Cambridge shares a brother-like bond with Mike Tindall, his brother-in-law, and the husband of William’s cousin, Zara.
Mike Tindall, a former rugby player, has often spoken about his playful relationship with Prince William on his podcast, even playfully nicknaming him ‘One Pint Willy’ for his alleged inability to hold his liquor.
During a recent Christmas walkabout at Sandringham, Mike Tindall and Zara were observed interacting with the Waleses, and Bond noted, “I think, what was really interesting, was Mike Tindall, he had his arm around George, at one point. And what we see in Mike Tindall, is the uncle, that they lost in Harry.”
Bond emphasizes that while Mike Tindall is technically a cousin by marriage, he acts and is cherished like a lost uncle by the children, suggesting that Prince William may have found a brotherly figure in Mike Tindall.
