Despite their outwardly affectionate dynamic, Prince William has silently grappled with Kate Middleton's overwhelming popularity for years.
Similar to the public reception of King Charles and Princess Diana, the Princess of Wales holds greater favor among Britons than the next heir to the throne.
Reports also suggest that, like his father, William might harbor secret resentments toward Kate for this very reason. This has led her to intentionally step out of the spotlight, aiming to avoid a fate reminiscent of her parents-in-law.
Speaking with Fox News Digital, royal correspondent Nick Bullen reflected on their recent appearance at the annual reception for diplomats at Buckingham Palace.
He stated, "The strength of the new Princess of Wales, much like [Queen Elizabeth II], lies in her understanding of her role."
"Her primary duty is to support Prince William," affirmed True Royalty TV co-founder Bullen. "She rarely grants interviews and seldom makes it about herself. Her focus is consistently on ensuring the prince is front and center."
However, he also commended the future Queen Consort for crafting a regal persona for herself.
"Yet, make no mistake, she is a formidable presence," Bullen emphasized. "She possesses strength and clarity in her goals."
The expert observed, "The Princess of Wales is poised to be a queen in the most traditional sense. She comprehends her role: to support the king, the monarch. She understands the responsibilities of the position."
