The prospect of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reuniting with the royal
family for Christmas remains uncertain, with reports suggesting they await an
invitation from King Charles to partake in the festivities.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have expressed a keen desire to spend the
holiday season at the Sandringham estate later this month. However, it appears
that the other party is indifferent to the wishes of the former royals.
According to royal correspondent Michael Cole, speaking to GB News, the key to
Prince Harry and Meghan's inclusion in the celebrations lies in setting aside
egos and extending an apology to the royal family.
Cole mentioned that King Charles is ready to welcome back his youngest son and
his family, including their two children, Prince Archie (4) and Princess
Lilibet (2), with open arms upon receiving an indication of their willingness
to reconcile.
"It's worth mentioning that Christmas is meant to be a time for families to come together. However, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in faraway California seem to have missed the memo as they won't be participating," shared Cole with the outlet.
He continued, "I think ordinary families facing similar issues—problems that arise in all sorts of families—should make an effort to come together during Christmas. If they truly love each other, the best way to demonstrate it is by taking concrete actions, reaching out, offering apologies, and showing the necessary contrition to come together," added the royal expert.
