Ted Sarandos, Co-CEO of Netflix, hinted to investors that the success of legal
dramas like Suits might inspire more similar shows.
Sarandos pointed out that other streaming platforms often rely on older content, whereas Netflix plans to leverage the success of its existing releases when developing new projects.
He noted the trend with Sony making a movie adaptation of Cobra Kai, a show that performed exceptionally well on Netflix.
Meghan Markle herself acknowledged the enduring popularity of Suits, describing it as "everlasting" in a recent interview with Variety. She attributed the show's success to its binge-watchable nature and the enjoyment of working with a great cast and crew over its seven seasons.
