Trevor Phillips Offers Insight Amid Omid Scobie's Allegations Regarding 'Racist Royals'

Trevor Phillips has shared his perspective amidst Omid Scobie's allegations concerning 'racist royals.' The prominent advocate for equalities dismissed claims that discussions within the royal family about Prince Archie's skin color should be labeled as racist, stating, "There is no family of color anywhere in the world where that conversation doesn't take place."

Sir Trevor Phillips contends that any discussions about Archie would likely have been driven by the excitement surrounding a new baby and curiosity about whether he would resemble Meghan or Harry.

Drawing from personal experience, Sir Trevor shared that his own family had similar discussions about his youngest grandson, suggesting that conversations about skin color in a mixed-race household should be regarded no differently than discussions about a child's eyes or hair color.

The alleged "royal racists" exposed on national television in the UK, following the naming of King Charles and the Princess of Wales in the Dutch first edition of Omid Scobie's Endgame, brought attention to the conversation about Archie this week.

Sir Trevor Phillips, a former Labour politician and ex-chairman of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, offered a preview of his Sunday show on Sky News, addressing the Endgame scandal. He remarked, "It's unlikely we're going to spend much time on that because I'll be absolutely frank and say I think it's a nonsense story. I think that there is no family of colour anywhere in the entire world where that conversation doesn't take place."

These comments align with those made previously by various figures, including Meghan's father, Thomas Markle. Omid Scobie's book, Endgame, allegedly authored by a friend of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, has gained global attention, especially with the Dutch translation appearing to name the "royal racist" mentioned by Meghan Markle during her 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.
