UK Security Minister Responds to 'Baseless' Claims Against King and Princess Kate

Amidst the controversy sparked by journalist Omid Scobie's latest book, which has brought allegations of racism within the royal family to the forefront, UK Security Minister Tom Tugendhat has dismissed the claims against King Charles and Catherine, Princess of Wales, as "completely unproven."

In an interview with TalkTV, Minister Tugendhat praised King Charles for his exemplary service, stating, "The King has done a brilliant job for us, not just in the last year since he's been King, but he's been absolutely fantastic for many, many years in advocating for the interests of the British people as Prince of Wales."

Regarding the allegations, Tugendhat characterized them as "rumor, hearsay, and an attempt to disparage somebody who's served our country with enormous dignity and enormous grace for many, many years."

Omid Scobie, often labeled as Meghan Markle's "mouthpiece," asserted on BBC Two's Newsnight that a "full investigation" is underway to determine how the names of King Charles and Princess Kate ended up in the Dutch translation of "Endgame." Scobie claimed that the English version, which he wrote and edited, did not include the names.

However, Dutch translator Saskia Peeters contradicted Scobie's statement, asserting, "As a translator, I translate what is in front of me. The names of the royals were there in black and white. I did not add them. I just did what I was paid to do and that was to translate the book from English into Dutch."

In response to Scobie's claims and the potential legal repercussions, there are reports that the royal family is exploring all options and seeking emergency legal advice on the damaging allegations.
