Amidst speculation and conflicting reports, it remains uncertain whether
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will spend Christmas with the royal family at
Sandringham. Previous expectations of an invitation seem to have been dashed, as
insiders suggest that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have been denied access
to the traditional family gathering in the UK.
According to a royal insider, King Charles had initially planned to spend time
with his California-based grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
However, alleged dissatisfaction from Prince William and Kate Middleton may
have influenced the decision to restrict Harry and Meghan's access to
Sandringham, especially following controversial claims made by their reported
acquaintance Omid Scobie in Endgame.
While some royal experts believe that the Sussexes might create further drama
if they return to the UK for the holidays, others suggest that an invitation
has not yet been extended. A source told The Sunday Times, "I can’t imagine
the Sussexes would decline an invitation to spend time with His Majesty. As of
yet, there have not been any invitations for the holidays."
Contrarily, another source told MailOnline that the idea of Harry and Meghan returning without addressing past issues is "bizarre" and that it would be unrealistic to expect a seamless reconciliation.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams expressed skepticism about the situation, stating, "Harry may send messages to his family, but it would be highly inappropriate and unpredictable to have a relaxed Christmas with the couple, given their untrustworthy nature. This backdrop is not conducive to trust."
