In a discussion with GB News, royal commentator Peter Lloyd suggested that King Charles should consider abdicating in favor of Prince William assuming the role of leading the royal family. Lloyd speculated that such a move would likely infuriate Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
"I think that King Charles should abdicate and I think that Prince William should step up and do the job, purely because I would love to see the reaction of Harry and Meghan," Peter Lloyd stated, emphasizing the potential for controversy.
He further commented, "Imagine how delicious that would be to see them foaming at the mouth over William becoming King?"
However, journalist Nina Myskow countered Peter's remarks by emphasizing King Charles's commitment to his role. She suggested that the King has waited patiently to fulfill his duties and is unlikely to relinquish them easily.
King Charles underwent surgery at the London Clinic after the diagnosis of an enlarged prostate. Queen Camilla confirmed that the King's condition was stable, expressing optimism about his recovery.
According to Buckingham Palace, King Charles will remain hospitalized until his recovery, with his public engagements postponed for the time being.
