King Charles Faces Criticism for Alleged Differential Treatment Between Prince Andrew and Prince Harry

King Charles is under fire for purportedly adopting distinct approaches in handling his disgraced brother, Prince Andrew, and his estranged son, Prince Harry.

A royal expert has characterized the monarch's attempts to address the "Andrew problem" as feeble, criticizing the handling of Harry and Meghan as "petty" and "retributive."

In a piece for news.com.au, Daniela Elser accused the monarch of prioritizing "filial appeasement over leadership," suggesting that the past year has seen him navigate the Andrew issue cautiously while adopting a more aggressive stance towards Harry, akin to the character in "Raging Bull."

Despite renewed controversy surrounding Andrew's association with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, evidenced by unsealed court documents, he was permitted to join the royal family for their annual Christmas walk. In contrast, Harry and Meghan were not afforded the same opportunity.

Elser voiced concerns about the monarch's disparate treatment of two significant figures in his life, highlighting that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have endured "one humiliation after another" over the past 15 months. Meanwhile, Andrew continues to move about Windsor, driving a car valued only slightly less than the average UK house, and tending to his Garter robes with a lint roller.
