PR expert Lynn Carratt, speaking to the Mirror, asserted that the royal family, including King Charles, would be more saddened than worried about Meghan Markle's intentions to reveal aspects of their lives. Carratt emphasized that this potential exposure could undermine the reconciliation efforts made by both parties in recent months.
"I wouldn't say King Charles or other senior members of the Royal family would be greatly worried about a Meghan Markle memoir; they would be more saddened than anything else. I'm sure he'll be thinking not again," stated the Press Box PR mogul.
Despite a reported heartfelt call and video message from Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet on King Charles's 75th birthday, recent reports of successful communication between the Spare author and his father may be impacted by Meghan's memoir, potentially leaving Prince William feeling "betrayed."
Carratt added, "Especially as it is believed that the relationship between King Charles and Harry is warming after they shared a phone for the Monarch's birthday.”
While King Charles remains hopeful for a cordial relationship with the family, Carratt noted, "Every time Meghan and Harry’s camp releases some more stories, their father-and-son relationship goes steps back."
