Meghan Markle was notably absent from a group chat with her co-stars, raising suspicions among fans about her potential involvement in the upcoming spin-off of the legal drama.
During a mini-reunion of the cast at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony on Sunday, Jan. 7, Meghan's co-star Patrick J. Adams was questioned by E! News host Keltie Knight about her possible return to acting.
In a clever response, the 42-year-old actor redirected the question to the interviewer, asking, "You heard that rumor? She told you that directly?"
Awkwardly, Keltie admitted they "made up a rumor" and proceeded to inquire, "But would you ever team up again?"
Expressing praise for Meghan's acting skills, Adams stated, "I think Meghan's a fantastic actor, so we'd be lucky to have her back in the industry." He even suggested interest in collaborating on a potential project together, saying, "Yes, let's go, I'll do it again!"
However, fans remained skeptical, interpreting Adams' enthusiasm differently. One social media user commented, "From the guy’s reaction, it is a rumor. It is obvious the cast don’t want to work with Meghan again." Another added, "The cast obviously don’t like her. They don’t group chat with her. Period," referring to Gina Torres’ revelation that Meghan Markle didn't share her number with the Suits co-stars.
