In a recent critique of the royal family, British-Nigerian activist and political commentator Dr. Shola Mos-Shogbamimu, a known supporter of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday to satirize reports about ailing Princess Kate and her husband Prince William "raising the standard of parenting and work ethics."
Dr. Shola shared a screen grab of a newspaper and commented, "Princess Catherine & Prince William raise the standard of parenting & work ethics. Women, we must all work ‘from bed’ during recovery from serious surgery. Men, William is the standard of what ‘full dad’ is, aka be half dad until the mother of your children is in the hospital. Where would we be without #Royals to lead by example."

This comes after a prominent British-Nigerian lawyer defended Meghan Markle amid new claims about the name Princess Lilibet. Dr. Shola supported the Duchess of Sussex's decision to name her daughter Lilibet, stating, "God give me strength - people have lost their minds. [1] Harry and Meghan do not need anyone's permission, least of all Queen Elizabeth, to name their child Lilibet."
