In addressing the strained relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Royal Family since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, McCormick advises the couple to make fun of themselves and even allow for some good-natured teasing. He believes that adopting this approach could significantly improve their public image.
"If Harry and Meghan can get comfortable in poking fun at themselves and even allow themselves to be roasted, it could vastly improve their public image," McCormick suggests. He speculates that the couple might be seeking ways to save face amid the perceived cold shoulder from the royals.
The expert goes on to predict that engaging in practical relief work and visiting impoverished nations could further shift public perception positively. This approach, McCormick believes, could counterbalance any negative publicity and contribute to an improved public image for Meghan and Harry.
Recent reports also suggest that the couple may not attend the Duke of Westminster's wedding later this year. Despite spending Christmas separately from the royal family, there has been no official response from the Royal Family, and King Charles III did not mention Harry or Meghan in his customary Christmas speech on December 25.
