The documents, released on Wednesday, reference accusations from Johanna Sjoberg, who claims that Prince Andrew groped her and Virginia Giuffre while they were seated on a couch inside Epstein's Manhattan apartment in 2001.
These recent accusations pose a setback to Andrew's efforts to restore his reputation, reigniting concerns surrounding his involvement in the Epstein scandal.
The documents are part of the 2015 civil defamation lawsuit filed by Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell, who was accused of recruiting and grooming teenage girls for Epstein between 1994 and 2004. Both Epstein and Maxwell faced multiple federal s-x trafficking charges.
In a move preceding the settlement of the lawsuit filed by Giuffre in August 2021, the late Queen stripped the Duke of his military patronages and other royal titles a month earlier. The settlement between Giuffre and Andrew was reached in February 2022.
Reportedly, in 2022, Sarah Ferguson's ex-husband paid a significant amount in an out-of-court settlement to Giuffre, who alleged she was forced to have s-x with him three times at the age of 17. It's important to note that the settlement is not an admission of guilt, and Prince Andrew continues to deny any wrongdoing.
