In the wake of fresh revelations surrounding Prince Andrew's involvement with Jeffrey Epstein, the Duke of York has reportedly secluded himself, finding it challenging to cope with the aftermath.
According to a source cited by Express, the disgraced Duke has been emotionally devastated by the resurgence of details related to the 2015 defamation case filed by his accuser, Virginia Giuffre.
The source disclosed, "He doesn't have the emotional bandwidth to deal with this. He has locked himself away in a room and has no idea how to respond. He's devastated."
The renewed scrutiny comes after a US court ordered the release of previously unseen documents, sourced from Ghislaine Maxwell's electronic devices.
These documents revealed searches related to Prince Andrew, including terms like 'Prince,' 'Andrew,' 'Duke,' 'York,' 'Royal,' 'underage,' 'massage,' 'slave,' and 's*x.'
Prince Andrew has faced accusations of s*xually assaulting Giuffre on three separate occasions when she was 17. The documents also suggest that Andrew was aware of Epstein's s*x trafficking ring and had committed "acts of s*xual abuse," allegations vehemently denied by the royal.
The Metropolitan Police (MET Police) is reportedly reviewing the new findings and will assess the information if brought to their attention.
