Accusations of raping a minor, linked to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, have placed Prince Andrew under scrutiny, with fresh court documents from a 2015 case now publicized.
A close confidant of the Prince of Wales disclosed to The Daily Beast that tensions have surfaced between the monarch and his eldest son regarding Andrew's involvement in family events.
Despite the damaging claims, Prince Andrew was prominently featured in commemorations for the Queen's first death anniversary and the Christmas celebrations at Sandringham.
"There is a load more information that could come out on Andrew," the friend revealed. "That's why William was so dismayed by the leniency shown to him at Christmas. He is utterly bemused by his father's strategy."
When questioned about whether Prince William had confronted his father on the matter, the friend explained, "That's not how the family dynamic works. Charles is the king, so William has to go along with it. But he doesn't have to like it."
