Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's strained relationship with the royal
family seems far from any prospects of reconciliation, according to royal
analyst Michael Cole. The expert believes that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex
have caused too much damage for a return to amicable terms with their
respective families. Cole contemplates the potential impact of an apology on
bridging the gap between the Markle and Royal families.
In Michael's view, rebuilding bridges would require both the Sussexes to
apologize for any perceived wrongdoing towards their relatives. He points out,
"It is interesting to note that Meghan is not on speaking terms with any of
her family apart from her mother and a niece. Nobody else in her family speaks
to her, and she does not speak to them."
During an interview with GB News, Michael conveyed his belief that Prince
Harry's relationship with his family is similarly strained. He notes,
"Likewise, the relationship between Prince Harry and his family is hardly
existing at this moment, which is not surprising considering the criticism
that has been laid about the Royal Family from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex
since they departed from the royal circle."
Michael opined that the relationships seem to have reached a point of "rock
bottom," and he sees little likelihood of improvement. He concludes, "It is
difficult to see how those relationships are going to be mended without some
apologies on the part of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. They are showing no
signs of that, frankly; it is at rock bottom."
This assessment follows revelations from a royal expert that Meghan had
anticipated a confrontation with King Charles regarding the rules she and
Harry had to adhere to as members of the Royal Family.
