The impact of the royal rift on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's public reputation has become palpable, prompting concerns and a new warning about its potential consequences.
Public relations expert Ryan McCormick suggests that the Sussexes, weary of the toll on their public image, are not the ones actively keeping a distance from the royal family.
Despite signs of potential reconciliations between King Charles and his estranged younger son, Harry, McCormick deems this a distant possibility, asserting that the royals fear becoming material for the Sussexes' new ventures.
"In reality, the duo is likely tired of getting the cold shoulder from the Royals and are trying to save face," McCormick stated in an interview with The Mirror.
Highlighting the revealing nature of the Netflix docuseries, McCormick emphasizes that members of the Royal Family are now cautious, aware that any statement made in their presence could find its way into a future book or interview.
McCormick suggests that distancing themselves from the royals may, in fact, be advantageous. By standing out independently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have the opportunity to rebuild their image without the shadow of royal connections, potentially making 2024 "their year."
"If the Royals are openly offering peace gestures to Harry and Meghan, and if they are choosing to distance themselves from the source of all their notoriety, it does help them to stand out on their own," he explained.
McCormick further proposes that the couple can significantly enhance their image by undertaking impactful initiatives, such as "visiting several destitute countries and doing hands-on work to help those in need." This strategic move could contribute to a positive transformation of their public perception in the coming year.
