Prince Harry's Damaging Portrayal of Prince William in Memoir Causes Rift and Dashes Reunion Hopes

Prince Harry's eagerly awaited memoir, "Spare," released earlier this year, dealt a severe blow to any prospects of reconciliation with his older brother, Prince William, as he labeled him a "villain" in the tell-all book.

In a discussion on the Daily Mail's weekly talk show, Palace Confidential, royal expert Rebecca English expressed surprise at the extent of Harry's attack on his once-close brother, considering their historically strong bond.

Contrary to expectations that King Charles and the Queen might be portrayed negatively, it was Prince William who bore the brunt of Harry's revelations, sending shockwaves globally.

Rebecca shared her insights, stating, "We thought it might be the King and the Queen who were the villains of the piece, but it actually turned out to be his older brother."

In addition to highlighting his father's bias towards the royal heir, Prince Harry recounted a physical altercation with Prince William, claiming, "He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor."

The royal expert expressed sadness over the breakdown of the once-strong fraternal bond, remarking, "They did everything together, so to see that explode once and for all so nastily was actually really sad to see."

Rebecca further noted that the "explosive details in 'Spare' have resulted in William's radio silence towards Harry—a reality unlikely to change any time soon," according to the outlet.
