Reports indicate that Sarah Ferguson is taking on a supportive role and engaging in what's described as "wifely duties" to attend to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew. The Duke of York is reportedly in a state of emotional distress after the release of new documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
Allegedly named 69 times in the recently disclosed files, Prince Andrew has chosen seclusion, spending the majority of the week locked in his room, according to various reports.
Royal Editor for the Mail on Sunday, Charlotte Griffiths, shared insights on GB News, revealing Prince Andrew's apparent low spirits in the aftermath of the document release. Despite no longer being married, Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has reportedly stepped in to provide unwavering support during this challenging time.
Residing together at Royal Lodge in Windsor, the ex-couple continues to stand by each other. Griffiths noted, "Even though they're not married, she is very much on hand nonstop to just keep him going."
Addressing what the future holds for Prince Andrew, Griffiths explained, "There are some basic things that you can do if you're a posh royal living in the country, and actually he's been socially outcast from even some of those. So he certainly can't do any charity work or any royal work of any kind, especially now in the light of this second batch of documents."
"All of his friends have been asking, and they are big worriers that he can't even really go shooting or anything like that."
This recent setback for the disgraced royal follows the significant removal of his royal titles and duties. This came after reaching an out-of-court agreement with his accuser, Virginia Giuffre, who claimed Epstein paid her $15,000 in connection to allegations against the royal. Andrew has consistently denied these claims.
