Sarah Ferguson's Plans to Aid Prince Andrew Thwarted by Setback

Sarah Ferguson's intentions to provide support to her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, in meeting the substantial repair costs of the Royal Lodge have faced a recent blow.

Hoping to secure a full-time contract with ITV, Prince Andrew's former wife had her aspirations dashed, much to the disappointment of the Duke of York.

The renewed controversy surrounding Prince Andrew, stemming from revelations in recent court documents related to his association with convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, has cast a shadow over his public image.

Despite her stint as a host on This Morning, Fergie failed to resonate with viewers, leading to the abandonment of her plans for a more permanent role on the show.

An insider from ITV, as reported by The Daily Mail, disclosed that Fergie had "zero chance" of securing a permanent position, despite being described as "a joy to have around the place."

While Fergie previously emphasized that Prince Andrew does not receive taxpayers' money since losing his military titles and royal patronages, she expressed her intent to financially support him and the rest of the family through her work.

However, the reception to Fergie's appearance on This Morning was mixed at best, with the insider noting, "At best, Fergie’s appearance divided opinion, at worst it was a complete and utter disaster."

Despite her amiable demeanor, the source added, "She's very sweet, even handing out gifts to all the staff she worked with on the day, but unfortunately, she's not a natural. Her dream of landing a presenting role will have to find a home elsewhere as it won't be with us."

The Duchess had envisioned using her position to assist Andrew in addressing the "eye-watering" repair bills for the Royal Lodge, where he is reportedly under pressure to vacate.
