Harry, Meghan Plan UK Return to Mark King Charles' Coronation Anniversary

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are anticipated to return to the UK for a significant event linked to King Charles' coronation anniversary.

Prince Harry is reportedly planning his return to the UK, possibly as soon as spring, to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the Invictus Games with a service at St Paul’s Cathedral in May.

The British government is actively working to bring back the Invictus Games, a sporting competition for sick and injured veterans, to the UK. A multimillion-pound bid, supported by private financing, aims to host the event in Birmingham in 2027, with endorsements from the Ministry of Defence and the Royal British Legion.

A source close to the project mentioned, "Harry has indicated that he is comfortable coming back for a British-based Invictus Games, and we understand that the Games have always had the support of the rest of the royal family."

The UK's bid hopes to surpass its US rival bidder of Washington, which is also in contention as the host city for the 2027 games.

Prince Harry recently returned to the UK without Meghan Markle and their children to visit his father, King Charles, who has been diagnosed with cancer.

If Harry announces Birmingham as the next city for the Invictus Games, it will mark Meghan Markle's first return to the UK since Queen Elizabeth II's funeral in 2022. Previously, Prince Harry attended King Charles' coronation ceremony alone in May 2023.
