The Duchess of Cambridge has since been discharged from the hospital, where she was slated for a 10-14 day recovery period at the London Clinic followed by continued rest at home.
Concerns arose over the royal's health, fueled by the covert nature of the procedure. Close sources revealed that Kate and Prince William were adamant about safeguarding her privacy, with only a select few privy to the specifics of her condition.
A spokesperson from Kensington Palace shared on Monday that Kate's recovery is progressing well, expressing her relief at being back home.
During her hospitalization, reports indicate that Kate remained in touch with her children – Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis – through FaceTime.
With a lengthy recuperation ahead, Kate is expected to remain out of the public eye until after Easter, while Prince William has adjusted his commitments to assist with childcare.
The couple is also receiving support from their longtime nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo, as well as Kate's nearby family members, including her parents, Carole and Mike Middleton, and her siblings, Pippa and Matthew.
