According to Buckingham Palace, since the revelation of his diagnosis earlier this month, King Charles has been inundated with over 7,000 letters and cards from individuals worldwide. These heartfelt messages include contributions from children, featuring hand-drawn illustrations, as well as notes from cancer survivors sharing their own journeys.
In a statement issued by the palace on Saturday, the monarch extends heartfelt appreciation to all those who have reached out, underscoring that their kind sentiments have brought him immense comfort and encouragement during this trying period.
The palace previously disclosed on February 6th that King Charles would be scaling back public engagements to undergo treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer.
While specific details of the diagnosis remain private, Buckingham Palace has confirmed that prostate cancer has been ruled out. Despite this health challenge, the monarch has resumed his official duties, recently meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak following a hospitalization for a corrective procedure addressing an enlarged prostate.
